Today, Thursday, 12/12/2024, the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre announced its forecast for Iraq's weather in the coming days, and Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Jassam Mukhlif, a climate expert in the Natural Resources Development Department at the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre - University of Anbar, stated that weather models indicate a polar descent starting from On Saturday, hopefully 14/12/2024, as the cold wave will be deeper than before, and temperatures will drop below zero degrees Celsius in the northern and western parts of the country, and will continue for 14 days, with intensity on Sunday and Monday of next week. As for rainfall, there is no presence in the central and southern parts, while the northern parts of the country are limited to snowfall, so it must be careful to prepare winter clothes and maintain heating.
