Warning of a dust storm sweeping Iraq

The Upper Euphrates Center for Sustainable Development Research - University of Anbar / Department of Climate and Meteorology announced a warning of a dust storm sweeping Iraq, and Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Jassam Mekhlif, head of the Meteorological Laboratory, said that satellite images indicate that the country, especially the central and northern region, especially the western parts of it, will be affected by the impact of a dust storm sweeping the country coming from Syrian territories. He pointed out that the reason for this is due to the effect of an air depression with active winds that helps to deepen their arrival into Iraqi territory with the increase in the activity of the moving air depression. It may be accompanied by rain showers in these parts of the country.
