Five-year strategic plan (2025-2030) for the Upper Euphrates Center for Research in Sustainable Development

In order to raise the level of scientific research and make the Upper Euphrates Center for Research on Sustainable Development a leading research center in sustainable development studies and work to develop its infrastructure to ensure the advancement of scientific research outputs and community service, and in order to achieve the goals of sustainable development and provide the requirements of the welfare of society, this required the development of a strategic plan to meet the requirements and challenges to serve the vision, mission and objectives of the center, which are in line with the 77 sustainable development goals and indicators of those goals.

The committee formed for the purpose of preparing the strategic plan of the center produced its work by holding a series of meetings, where the committee included a set of themes, the most important of which are:

The first theme / the axis of scientific research.

The second theme / the axis of innovation and technological transformation.

The third theme / the axis of human resources.

The fourth theme / the axis of natural resources management.

The fifth theme / the axis of food security and sustainable agriculture.

The sixth theme / the axis of empowering local communities (partnerships and openness to society).

The seventh theme / the axis of financial support.

The eighth theme / the theme of laboratories.
