A Scientific Workshop on the Fertilizer Industry Revolution and its Role in Achieving Agricultural Sustainability

As part of the activities of the Upper Euphrates Center for Sustainable Development Research/Human Resources Development Department, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center at University of Anbar, a scientific workshop entitled "The Fertilizer Industry Revolution: Towards a Sustainable Agricultural Future" was held on Sunday, April 12, 2026, in the center's main hall, with the participation of a select group of professors, researchers, and specialists in the agricultural sector.
The workshop lectures were presented by:
- Instructor Dr. Hanin Shartouh Sharqi
- Instructor Dr. Sa’ad Jabbar Hofi
They presented advanced scientific topics that addressed the latest developments in the fertilizer industry and the shift from traditional methods to modern technologies based on innovation and technology. The workshop emphasized the pivotal role of the fertilizer industry in supporting the agricultural sector through:
- Increasing crop productivity and improving quality
- Enhancing soil fertility and replenishing nutrients
- Improving water use efficiency
- Reducing environmental impacts through the use of smart fertilizers
