The preparations have been started for the second international conference

As a part of University of Anbar - the Upper Euphrates Basin Development Center (UEBDC) preparations to hold the second international scientific conference on the occasion of International Water Day in March 2023 and in contact with the meetings held by the President of the University Professor Dr. Mushtak Talib Al-Neda with the Organization of UN-ESCWA. The UEBC delegation by Professor Dr. Ammar Hatem Kamel, Director of the Center met the Iraq Representative in the above mentioned organization Dr. Hussein Dawood, the manager of the statistics institute in the Ministry of Planning in the presence of Dr. Mohammed Lateef Ahmed, Director General of the Accreditation Authority in the same Ministry. This meeting aimed to talk about the preparations for the above-mentioned conference where the support that could be provided by ESCWA and the Ministry of Planning for the conference was discussed.
Dr. Hussein Dawood expressed the insistence of ESCWA organization and the Ministry of Planning to support and succeed these important events and to be the objectives and mission of the conference expressing the professional, scientific, and national for achieving the sustainable development goals of Iraq Vision 2030 and strengthening the role of University of Anbar to achieve this vision and value the organization and its high appreciation of the university's efforts in this field and his personal greetings to the President of University of Anbar. For his part, the Director of the Center conveyed the appreciation of the university represented by the President of the University to support and cooperate the organization and the Ministry of Planning, which was confirmed by the visit of the President of the University to the headquarters of the organization in Amman and the readiness of the two parties to open broad prospects for cooperation in the field of sustainable development, especially since the university has a research center specialized in this field which is the of the Upper Euphrates Basin development center.
The topic of rephrasing the objectives and mission of the conference and scientific and preparatory committees was also discussed, as well as the completion of procedures for supporting and sponsoring the Conference and agreeing to continue communication to accomplish what is agreed upon. The delegation was also included Dr. Ahmed Saud Mohammed, head of the planning and databases department at the center.
