On the occasion of their retirement, a ceremony to honor two prominent academic figures

In the presence of a group of professors and researchers, the Upper Euphrates Center for Sustainable Development Research held a ceremony on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, to honor (Professor Dr. Isam Mohammed Abdulhameed Al-Bayati) and (Professor Dr. Akram Abdul Latif Hassan Al-Hadithi) on the occasion of their retirement, in appreciation of their long academic and research careers.
The ceremony began with speeches delivered by the center's director, Professor Dr. Ammar Hatim Kamel, and several department heads, who expressed their gratitude for the significant contributions made by the honorees in serving science and shaping generations of students and researchers, affirming that their marks will remain present in the memory of the educational and academic institution.
The ceremony included a visual presentation showcasing the most significant milestones of academic and research contributions of both doctors, including the positions they held, their publications and scientific research, and their community contributions over the past years, especially since Professor Dr. Isam Mohammed Abdulhameed is the first director of the center and one of its prominent founders.
At the end of the ceremony, commemorative plaques were presented to them as a token of appreciation and gratitude for their dedication in serving the center in particular and the University of Anbar in general. This was met with a warm response from the attendees, who wished them abundant health and safety and hoped that their contributions would continue through ongoing participation in all the activities, events, and studies organized by the center.
The two doctors expressed their gratitude and appreciation for this honor, affirming that serving science and students was a great privilege in their professional lives, and they sent encouraging messages to future generations to continue on the path of knowledge and dedication to the profession.
