The conference will be organized by Upper Euphrates Basin Development Center, in collaboration with the College of Engineering - Department of Dam Engineering and Water Resources, the College of Agriculture - Department of Soil Sciences and Water Resources, and the College of Science - Department of Applied Geology at University of Anbar.
Vision: Optimal water management in light of climate changes is an unavoidable obligation to create a sustainable environment.
Message: Adopting the notion of strategic cooperation and common interests as a groundwork for addressing climate consequences and food security concerns in order to accomplish the goals of sustainable development.
Objectives
1. Addressing the challenges of climate change by implementing optimal water management strategies.
2. The preservation of biodiversity and viability of dry-land ecosystems.
3. Making use of renewable energy technology to reduce pollution and the effects of global warming.
4. Sustainability of water resources to enhance food security and overcome water scarcity.
5. Combating desertification through the construction of irrigation systems within the context of sustainable development.
Themes
1. Sustainable development of water resource and ecological system.
2. Managing water resources in arid and semi-arid areas.
3. Modern strategies of water harvesting and conservation in arid regions.
4. Water quality and biodiversity.
Important Dates
1- Last day of research submission 1st February 2023.
2- Registration of participants 15-16 February 2023.
