Discussion of a Master's thesis on Hydrology and Morphology of the Euphrates River in Anbar Province

To achieve the principle of cooperation between Iraqi universities, and the role of research centres in supporting and enhancing this cooperation, Prof. Dr Ammar Hatem Kamel, Director of the Upper Euphrates Basin Development Center – University of Anbar, participated as a member of the discussion committee of the master's student (Wassan Waddah Jaber) in the Department of Water Resources Engineering at the University of Baghdad. The thesis title is: (Numerical simulation of the hydrology and morphology of the Euphrates River in Anbar Governorate), on Monday, 17/10/2022. The topic and area of study are within the research outlines of the Center and the Center has an extensive database on this subject.
After extensive discussions, the thesis was accepted and the student obtained a master's degree in water resources on the sidelines of the discussion and meeting with the Head of the Department of Water Resources at the College of Engineering - at the University of Baghdad and the Rapporteur of Graduate Studies, the Director of the Upper Euphrates Basin Development Center stressed the keenness to cooperate in supporting researchers and graduate students through databases and joint research lines, especially related to the Euphrates River basin.
