For the second day, the staff of the Haditha terminal station, affiliated to the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre at University of Anbar, continues to monitor and measure runoff events in the valleys of the western region, despite the difficulty of transportation.

Engineer Juma Muhammad Ahmed stated that a level of (25 cm) was recorded at the measurement station of the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre (UEBDC) on the Valley Bridge near the Ramadi-Haditha road, where runoff are still flowing on this day 6-1-2023, but with less discharges and quantities, as it was recorded at half past ten o'clock this morning (9.38 cubic meters per second) after it exceeded (100 cubic meters per second) before noon on Thursday 5-1-2023 at the time of the peak of the flood and the arrival of flood waves from the upper Horan Valley and the branches of the valleys that flow into it after runoff waves were recorded in Al-Massad valley, which meets Horan valley after the city of Rutba.

As for the waves of runoff in Horan valley within the city of Rutba, they recorded a significant decline in the water level and the drainage of the valley, according to Engineer Ali Saleh, who indicated that the measurement station of the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre on the Horan Bridge in the city recorded at half past eleven o'clock this morning, Friday 6-1-2023 (30 cm) with the slowing down of the speed of flow and the receding area of the flow section to record a discharge of (0.018 cubic meters per second).

Documented observations in the videos also indicated that the Al-Rahhaliya Dam was filled with runoff water and water crossed from the dam's water pathway, and the dam's lower drainage outlet was turned on for the first time in decades.

The planning and Databases Department at the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre announced that the amount of rain recorded at the hydrological station at the (UEBDC) amounted to (25 mm) until noon on Thursday 5-1-2023, according to Dr. Atheer Salim Al-Mawla, responsible for the hydrological station at the centre.

As for the amount of rain in the terminal station in Haditha at the College of Basic Education, it was recorded (8 mm) until noon on Thursday 5-1-2023. In Al-Rutba station, until noon on Thursday 5-1-20023, a rainfall depth of (38 mm) was recorded.
