The Administrative Board of Directors (ABD) of the (UEBDC) holds its second meeting

The ABD of (UEBDC) held its second meeting for this year on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Ammar Hatem Kamel, Director of the Centre. The Council discussed the paragraphs included in the agenda, which included the organizational structure of the center and the possibility of creating some administrative and scientific units, in addition to the possibility of converting research terminals into a division in light of the large increase in the center's employees from various disciplines, as well as the center's need for other specific disciplines that can contribute to the development of studies and research related to the work of the center and took its own recommendations for the purpose of submitting them to the university presidency for approval.
The Council also discussed the issue of developing a five-year strategic plan for the development of the work of the Centre, and the heads of departments and the official of the laboratory unit were assigned to prepare a report on the five-year plans in the research centre of Arab and international universities and what can be included in the five-year plan of the Centre for the purpose of discussing the subject with the Scientific Committee in the Centre and then presenting the final report to the ABD.
In light of the significant increase in the center's employees and from various disciplines, the Council also discussed the need to establish an independent building for the center in accordance with the specifications of research centres and their laboratories.
The Council hosted Assistant Professor Dr. Muthanna Badie, responsible for the Laboratories Unit, who briefed the Council on the latest developments in the unit's plan to obtain accreditation for the Centre's laboratories and the most important things that must be provided to overcome the obstacles related to the subject.
The Board also discussed the issue of adding Prof. Dr. Isam Mohammed Abdelhameed to the ABD because of his experience and scientific competence in scientific research and management of research centers, and the recommendation was approved to join the ABD.
The Council listened to a detailed explanation of the latest preparations for the Second International Scientific Conference on Water, and highly appreciated the great support provided by the Directorate of Water Resources in Anbar to the conference.
