Initiation of the second phase of the construction of the research station at the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre

The staff of the Department of Reconstruction and Projects and the supporting team from the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre began the work of the second phase of the construction of the research station in the centre under the direct guidance of the Presidency of the University of Anbar as part of its plan to develop and support research centres at the university.
The second phase includes the completion of drilling a well with a depth of (70) meters and linking the irrigation system with the treatment basin and tank.
It is planned that the energy will be prepared for the irrigation and pumping system from the well using renewable energies (solar energy) and work on the implementation of research plans to study the possibility of using solar energy in irrigation and also study the depth and quality of groundwater on the size and areas of cultivated land and the quality of agricultural crops that can be relied on groundwater pumped through the use of renewable energies and solar energy in particular Add work on the completion of a guide (manual) for groundwater pumping rates using solar energy by seasons and crop type based on the university's strategic plans to expand using renewable and clean energies to reduce the impact of climate change in accordance with the vision of the university and the centre 2030 to achieve the goals of sustainable development.
