The meeting of administrative board

With the help of God Almighty, the periodic meeting (third session) of the Board of Directors of the Upper Euphrates Basin Development Center / Anbar University for the academic year 2022-2023 was held under the chairmanship of the Director of the Center, Prof. Dr. Ammar Hatem Kamel, and in the presence of the members of the Board of Directors, on Monday, 20/6/2023, The main agenda of the meeting is as follows:
1- Discussing the results of the meeting called by the Directorate of Water Resources and attended by the Governor of Anbar on 12/6/2023 to address the problem of water scarcity in Anbar Governorate.
2- Discussing the recommendations of the meeting of the Scientific Committee of the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre, which was held on 11/6/2023, which contains the following recommendations:
- Follow-up the publication of research participating in the Water Conference 15-16/3/2023.
- Establishment of laboratories in the centre.
- Establishing a laboratory in the research station / Haditha.
- Renaming the terminal in Haditha to the research station in Haditha, in line with other research stations that the centre seeks to develop.
3- Discussing the directive of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research / Department of Missions and Cultural Relations with their uncles No. 11724 dated 4/4/2023, which includes proposing workshops for projects related to topics (climate change - groundwater investment).
4- Considering the disclosure of the new building of the Upper Euphrates Basin Development Center prepared by the Department of Reconstruction and Projects at the Presidency of University of Anbar and matching it with the uncles of the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research No. 6962 dated 4/5/2023. This includes the need to approach the ministry to form a committee to ensure the extent to which any new building conforms to ministerial controls and conditions.
5- Creation of administrative units in the centre:
- the Media Unit.
- Meteorological Unit.
- Continuing Education Unit.
