As part of the awareness campaign, instructions and directions on the establishment of water harvesting systems in homes have been issued

Within the continuous and renewed campaigns of the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre at the University of Anbar regarding awareness of rationalization of water consumption, in joint cooperation between the Planning and Databases Department and the Human Resources Department at the Centre, and the efforts of Assistant Professor Dr. Omar Yaseen Neda and Instructor Dr. Emad Telfah Abdel Ghani, the Centre issued a brochure that includes instructions and directions on the establishment of water harvesting systems in homes for the purpose of exploiting the small amounts of rainwater that fall in varying quantities in the winter and spring months to be an opportunity for citizens to reduce pressure on the shortened water of the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers, as well as taking advantage of the amounts of rainwater falling in the same way.
It is worth mentioning that the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre seeks to address the government departments on this important issue, and to raise awareness and education on the subject of water harvesting in light of the severe shortage of water incomes of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, as well as the serious climate changes sweeping the earth planet.
