A representative of the Anbar Environment Directorate visits the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre

On Tuesday, 17/10/2023, the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre was honored by the visit of Mr. Assistant Chief of Biological Scholars (Ali Hashem Muhammad), responsible for the Climate Change Division at the Anbar Environment Directorate, and he was received by Prof. Dr. Ammar Hatem Kamel, Director of the Centre, heads of natural resources development and human resources departments, in addition to a number of specialists in the centre.
During the meeting, they discussed activating the mechanism of joint cooperation between the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre and the Anbar Environment Directorate, and discussing scientific projects and research that support the national adaptation plan in Anbar Governorate, which contributes to reducing the negative effects of climate change and its access to local and international support, as well as focusing on the need to raise awareness through holding seminars and workshops in the field of climate change with the active participation of all the most vulnerable segments of society towards these challenges.
