Weather update for Thursday, 4/1/2024

The Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre – University of Anbar announced its weather forecast for Thursday, 4/1/2024, according to Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Jasam, a climate expert in the Department of Natural Resources Development.
Fog forms in the early hours of dawn in Mosul and the northern and eastern parts of Anbar province and extends to Karbala and Kufa since (3:00) in the morning and increases in intensity at dawn and decreases as a result of the decline of a cold humid air mass with the European high controlling the region, then it begins to retreat and clear at (8:00) am.
Rainfall:
Related to rain events, the entry of a medium-effective depression in the northern parts of Iraq to begin the formation of rain cells in northern Mosul, Dohuk and Erbil after the afternoon and continue until Friday to include Sulaimaniyah as well. As for the rest of the country, it will be free of rain.
