According to Data from the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre Station

Based on the centre’s plans and its vision to achieve sustainable development goals, and the directives of the University of Anbar within its strategic plans to expand the use of renewable and clean energies, and in continuation of providing important databases for researchers and postgraduate students, the Planning and Databases Department at the centre, in collaboration with the Renewable Energy Research Centre at the University of Anbar, has issued data on the available renewable energy according to the measurements and data available from the centre’s meteorological station within the university site in the city of Ramadi.
The data included the amount of solar and wind energy generated, with illustrations according to the data from the centre’s station on radiation and solar energy, in addition to wind speed during the past month of August.
Dr. Atheer Salim Al-Mawla, head of the meteorological station at the centre, mentioned that the Planning and Databases Department will continue to provide detailed information and data and make them available to researchers, graduate students, and those interested, contributing to the dissemination of knowledge using these energies, which represent the future of energy in Iraq and the world, and to achieve the vision of the centre and the university for 2030 to achieve sustainable development goals.
