The Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre - University of Anbar announced the weather forecast for the coming days, and Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Jassam Mukhlif, a climate expert in the Natural Resources Development Department at the Centre, stated that the first depression to visit Iraq affects the southern region and its extensions reach the central regions of the country, and he also added that Iraq will be exposed on Saturday and Sunday, corresponding to 26-27/10/2024, to the first depression coming from the Red Sea that affects the southern region and is in-depth and its extensions reach central Iraq, as it may be exposed Basra, Nasiriyah and Amara to the highest rainfall - the highest concentration of Basra Governorate.
As for the temperatures, they will be as follows:
Northern region:
Minimum: 12 – 15 0C
Maximum: 18 – 21 0C
Central region:
Maximum: 25-260C
Minimum 12-150C
Western region:
Maximum: 20-24 0C
Minimum: 8-13 0C
Southern region:
Except for Saturday, 26/10/2024, as there is a drop in the maximum temperature of up to 21 °C, The rest of the days are as follows:
Maximum: 27-29 0C
Minimum: 14-18 0C
As for the state of the winds: they will be moderate in speed between 2-4 m/s throughout Iraq.
