A scientific course titled "The Concept of Health and Environmental Safety in Workplaces"

As part of the program that the Upper Euphrates Center for Sustainable Development Research / Human Resources Development Department has been accustomed to in previous years, in collaboration with the Continuing Education Center at the Presidency of University of Anbar in organizing various scientific courses and events, the special lectures for the first free training course for the academic year 2025-2026, titled: (Health, Safety, and Environment in Workplaces), which lasted for three days, were concluded on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, in the main hall of the center. The course was presented by researchers: Dr. Salem Mahmoud Ahmed and Assistant Instructor Ayoub Youssef Ahmed.
The first lecture presented by Dr. Salem Mahmoud Ahmed covered: (Health and Environmental Aspects within Workplaces), which included several topics, the most important of which were: (Global statistics, the purpose of safety and occupational health programs, globally recognized certifications, introduction to social dialog, methods of managing safety, health, and environment, an introduction to safety, health, and environment management, general rules for health, safety, and environment at work, training on health, safety, and environment rules, learning the optimal way to drive vehicles, types of personal protective equipment, methods of entering confined spaces, fires and how to combat them, and a series of first aid techniques, in addition to addressing management, environment, and security).
The second lecture, presented by Assistant Instructor Ayoub Youssef Ahmed, was about: (Electricity: Concepts and Risks), which included several topics, the most important of which were: (An introductory overview of the concept of electrical energy and its dangers to individuals and groups, personal protective equipment and tools, safety procedures and operations, safety tools and equipment, in addition to providing general advice).
The course was attended by the center's researchers and several esteemed faculty members and researchers, and it included some questions on various topics that were discussed, concluding with an exam for all participants.
