The Department of Climate Meteorology at the Upper Euphrates Center for Sustainable Development Research at the University of Anbar announced the latest update of the weather situation in Iraq, and Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Jassam Mukhlif, a meteorologist in the department, stated today, Monday, 10/3/2025, and through satellite monitoring the following updates:

Rainfall status:

Iraq is witnessing this evening, Monday, 16/2/2025, a state of atmospheric instability as a result of being affected by the sea depression, and its focus will be on the central and northern region of the country in the form of scattered rain cells.

Thermal status:

During the next (10) days, hopefully the country is affected by tropical air masses, it is expected that the temperature will gradually rise over the country, until the maximum temperature in the central and southern region reaches (+30 ° C), while the western and northern regions have temperatures (+25 °C) during the day, while during the night the temperatures are moderate and tending to cold.

Winds:

They are moderate in speed throughout Iraq, ranging from 22 to 38 km / h and in a northerly to northwesterly direction mostly.
