Iraq will be affected by a cold air mass on Friday and Saturday

The Meteorology Department at the Upper Euphrates Center for Sustainable Development Research, University of Anbar, announced satellite weather forecasts for Iraq. Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Jassam Mukhlif, head of satellite weather forecasting at the center, stated that, according to the European ECMWF model, Iraq, Turkey, and the Levant will be affected by a cold air mass on Friday and Saturday. This indicates a drop in temperatures below the average for this time of year. The air mass will extend over Saudi Arabia, which is expected to bring a sandstorm and dust storm from the Saudi Arabian and Syrian Deserts to Iraq as the heat wave begins to subside. This necessitates taking necessary precautions. A moderation in temperatures is expected after the heat wave affecting the region.

The northern region, Mosul, and the northeastern parts of the country may experience rainfall of varying intensity depending on the intensity of the weather system and the humidity levels.

Allah knows best. Allah grant success and guidance.
