Artificial intelligence strategies in identifying and addressing agricultural risks

In continuation of the series of various scientific activities, on Wednesday, 12/3/2025, and in cooperation between the Human Resources Development Department at the Upper Euphrates Center for Sustainable Development and the Continuing Education Center at the University of Anbar, the course was concluded tagged: (Artificial Intelligence Strategies in Identifying and Addressing Agricultural Risks), which lasted for three days for the period from 10 to 12/3/2025, in which the Instructor, Dr. Saad Jabbar Hafi and Prof. Dr. Dhafer Hameed Abed, a lecturer at the College of Computing.

The course dealt with several topics, the most important of which was to provide a detailed explanation of artificial intelligence, which plays an important role in enhancing the ability to produce and diversify food, through three main areas: (advanced agricultural robotic machines, soil and crop monitoring, and analysis and forecasting). Harnessing the power of artificial intelligence in these areas will keep the agricultural sector one step ahead of the issue of addressing food security. There is no doubt that generative artificial intelligence, thanks to its ability to analyze big data and make decisions, promises to improve the management of agricultural crops, through remote sensors, which will help monitor plant health and the efficiency of the use of resources such as water and fertilizers, which contributes to achieving the principle of sustainable agriculture through resource optimization.

The course witnessed the presence of the center's researchers and a number of faculty and researchers from colleges and research centers at the university, which included some questions in different axes on the topics that were raised, which concluded with a test for all participants.
