Weather for the next few days

The Department of Meteorology and Climate at the Upper Euphrates Center for Sustainable Development Research / University of Anbar announced its forecast for the weather situation for the next few days, and Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Jassam Mekhlif, a meteorologist at the center and responsible for the satellite meteorological laboratory, said that satellite images indicate the following:

Thermal condition:

The moderate weather will continue during Wednesday and Thursday, 7-8/5/2025, as a result of the region being affected by a relatively cold air mass at the level of 1000 mb, and an air groove in the upper layers of the atmosphere 500 mb, whose impact ends on Thursday evening.

Starting from Friday until Monday, all of Iraq, Syria, Turkey, northern Saudi Arabia and parts of Iran will be affected by the subtropical high according to the values of the high air effort of the Middle East, this contributes to the stability of the atmosphere and a rise in temperatures and limits the chances of cloud formation, which means that the sky is clear during the period when the region is affected by this air altitude, as the temperatures range as follows:

Northern region:

Minimum: -20 – 24 0C.

Maximum: 30 – 36 0C.

Western region:

Minimum: 20 – 22 0C.

Maximum: 36 – 38 0C.

Middle region:

Minimum: 25 – 27 0C.

Maximum: 39 – 41 0C.

Southern region:

Minimum: 27 – 29 0C.

Maximum: 41 – 44 0C.

Winds: moderate in speed throughout Iraq, ranging from 25 to 30 km / h and in a northwesterly direction mostly.
