The Director of the UEBDC participates in the Second International Conference on Renewable Energies and Sustainable Development

At the generous invitation of Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Ali, President of the Northern Technical University, The President of University of Anbar, Dr. Mushtak Taleb Al Neda, accompanied by Professor Dr. Ammar Hatem Kamel, Director of the Center for The Development of the Upper Euphrates Basin, participated in the opening of the second international conference on renewable energies and sustainable development held by the Northern Technical University under the auspices of The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Dr. Nabeel Kadhem Abdul Sahib.
This participation confirms the university's keenness represented by The President of the University to build bridges of scientific cooperation and support the exchange of experiences in the field of renewable energies and achieve the sustainable development goals in implementation of the university's strategic plans and achieve the university's vision for sustainable development 2030.
The President of the University met with a number of professors and managers of the offices related to the topic of renewable energies and sustainable development as well as his excellency meeting with the Director General of the Department of Training and Professional Development in the Ministry of Electricity and invited him officially to visit the university and cooperate in the field of training and development of expertise in the field of renewable energies, especially since the university is one of the leading institutions in this field through the Center for Renewable Energy Research in addition to completing it to study the use of small generation plants to produce Hydropower from the Euphrates River systems, where The General Manager welcomed the invitation, stressing that it will be met in the next few days. The president also stressed his welcome and support for cooperation and exchange of experiences with both the Department of Renewable and Sustainable Energy Engineering at Sharjah University, which has with University of Anbar a memorandum of understanding as well as with the Center for Renewable Energies at the technical institute in Hawejja as the topic of renewable energies is one of the most important topics that are directly related to achieving the sustainable development goals, especially in remote and remote areas such as the cities of Anbar province in the upper Euphrates and the city of Rutbah and that development depends mainly in these cities on the subject of energy, the university had specialized centers for development and renewable energy, which confirms the validity and solidity of the university's plans in this field.
In recognition of the university's efforts in supporting the conference and this scientific event, the President of the University was awarded the conference shield by Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al Attar, President of the Conference, and Professor Dr. Ammar Hatem Kamel, Director of the Upper Euphrates Basin Development Center, was awarded the conference shield in recognition of his participation in the conference.
