The Women's Affairs Unit submits lecture on home recycling


The Women's Affairs Unit at the College of Education for Humanities, in cooperation with the Upper Euphrates Center for Sustainable Development Research at University of Anbar, organized an educational lecture entitled: "From Waste to Resources: A Workshop on Home Recycling." This initiative is part of their ongoing efforts to promote environmental awareness and instill the concepts of sustainable development within the university community. The lecture was held on Monday, April 20, 2026, in the College of Education for Humanities auditorium.

The lecture was presented by Dr. Haneen Shartouh Sharqi from the Upper Euphrates Center for Sustainable Development Research. She highlighted the importance of home recycling and its active role in reducing waste and transforming it into usable resources for daily life. She also reviewed a range of practical methods and innovative ideas that can be adopted in homes.

The lecture witnessed significant interaction from the attendees, who expressed their keen interest in the topic due to its direct relevance to their daily lives and its positive impact on society.

This event is part of a series of activities implemented by the Women's Affairs Unit, aimed at disseminating environmental awareness and promoting positive practices that contribute to environmental preservation and sustainability.
