A research team from the Upper Euphrates Center conducts a field visit to the District of Habaniyah

A research team from the Upper Euphrates Center for Sustainable Development Research at Anbar University conducted a field visit to Habaniyah District to follow up on the repercussions of the recent heavy rains that affected the region.
During the visit, the team met with the district governor and several municipal officials to discuss the damage caused by the floods.
The meeting addressed the potential for a comprehensive study and field survey to assess the resulting environmental and social impacts, identify current and potential problems, and develop appropriate scientific solutions.
The research team comprised a select group of researchers specializing in the fields of environment and pollution, remote sensing technologies, human and natural resources, and civil engineering. This collaborative approach aims to enhance scientific collaboration and achieve accurate results that will support decision-makers. For its part, the center's administration expressed its deep gratitude and appreciation to the esteemed Mayor of Al-Habaniyah District, Mr. Ali Dawood, for his warm welcome and extensive cooperation in facilitating the research team's mission. The administration emphasized that this collaboration reflects the effective partnership between the university and local community institutions, contributing to the well-being of the province's residents.
This visit is part of strategic plan University of Anbar aimed at strengthening its role in community service, in line with the 2030 vision for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
