Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre participates in the introductory session of the Arab Alliances Program for Scientific Research and Innovation

Within the scientific activities of the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre and in line with the university's strategic plans in building bridges of scientific cooperation and research with international academic and research institutions, Prof. Dr. Isam Mohammed Abdulhameed - one of the centre's researchers - participated in an Arab team from five Arab countries in a project on water resources and energy management within the Arab Alliances Initiative for Scientific Research and Innovation.

Prof. Dr. Isam Mohammed Abdulhameed has already completed a research fellowship in a Turkish university, during which he completed a number of research and studies in water resources management in light of climate change in partnership with a number of researchers in this field, and he attended the first introductory day meeting held by the organizer of the initiative.

In the case that the project submitted to the competition wins, the Arab Alliances for Scientific Research and Innovation will finance the winning projects by one hundred thousand dollars for each of the five countries participating in the study.

It is worth mentioning that the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre has distinguished products in environmental studies, water resources management and energy, some of which have been published, such as the guide book for the development of valleys in Iraq, and some of which are still under preparation.
