Panel Discussion on Diagnosis of Bacterial Fertilizers and Enzymatic Activity in Sustainable Agricultural Fields

Within the plan of the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre to invest the scientific and research energies of new appointed researchers and open research lines in all fields, including the agricultural field, and for the purpose of achieving the goals of sustainable development, a panel discussion was held moderated by (Mrs. Saja Khaled Qaddouri), on Tuesday, 24/10/2024, entitled:

((Study of the presence and diagnosis of the most important types of bacterial fertilizers and their enzymatic activity in some sustainable agricultural fields))

The researcher touched on the fact that bio fertilizers are one of the modern technologies in the agricultural field, and this technique includes maximizing the use of beneficial microorganisms for the purpose of employing them in improving the physical, chemical and biological qualities of the soil and maintaining the balance of nutrients in agricultural land to convert them into ready-made images for plant nutrition in order to provide those nutrients for plant growth during its life cycle, which can dispense with part of the mineral fertilizers at least, and thus increase production as well as its contribution to reducing Agricultural production costs.

She also stressed that the knowledge gained from this study can help us understand the importance of microbes and their presence in agricultural fields and methods of formulating these microbes as bio fertilizers for crop production and sustainability of agricultural fields and through means that are linked to the goal:

-     Determining biodiversity and its sustainability by isolating and diagnosing efficient bacterial fertilizers from several fields and detecting efficient and active isolates in the soil environment for the benefit of the plant while maintaining the activity of fertilizers for the sustainability of agricultural fields.

-     Assess the state of sustainability of the fields biologically and fertilize in the soil of the study.

-     Evaluate the effect of local bacterial fertilizers, diagnose them and estimate some of their beneficial activities for the plant.

After the discussions that took place at the end of the seminar, several proposals emerged, the most important of which were: (Forming a research team to produce bio fertilizers that would reduce dependence on chemical fertilizer and be environmentally friendly).
