Active participation in the International Scientific Conference on Environment and Sustainability

The Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre - University of Anbar participated in the activities of the International Conference on Environment and Sustainability, which was held by the Colleges of Science and Applied Sciences - Heet in cooperation with the University College of Knowledge.
The Centre’s researchers participated in three research in the fields of agriculture and the use of remote sensing techniques to monitor drought and water resources management, where one of these researches dealt with the impact of the project ((the University of Anbar is a green oasis)) in increasing vegetation cover in the various university sites, where the researchers (Prof. Dr Ammar Hatem, Dr. Haitham Abdul Mohsen, Dr. Basheer Khalil and Dr. Atheer Saleem) used satellite monitoring techniques and statistical analyzes in calculating several indices that are used in assessing vegetation cover and water stress, especially in dry areas.
Dr Saleh Mahmoud Saleh participated with Dr Khudair Yas Khudair in research of high importance, represented in practical experiments for plant adaptation and agriculture in high salinity soils in dry areas, which led to very encouraging results and won great praise from the specialists participating in the conference. The conference activities continued on November 29-30, 2023 with wide local and international participation.
