According to the joint cooperation between the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre at University of Anbar and various state institutions, the Head of the Natural Resources Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Muneer Naji Ahmed and Dr. Sa’ad Jabbar Hafi from the same department, as representatives of the Centre participated in the seminar organized by the Climate Change Division in the Anbar Environment Directorate and in cooperation with the Anbar Municipalities Directorate and the Anbar Red Crescent Society, its awareness seminar, which was entitled:  (Climate Change and National Documents). Which took place at the hall of the Directorate of Anbar Municipalities in the city of Ramadi on Wednesday, 29/11/2023, in the presence of representatives of Anbar Governorate / Quality Management Department, representatives of University of Anbar / Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre, Anbar Governorate Agriculture Directorate, the Human Rights Commission, and a number of employees of the departments of the Directorate of Municipalities in its districts.

During the seminar, a lecture was delivered by Mr. Ali Hashem Mohammed, responsible for the Climate Change Division in the Directorate, on climate change and national documents, in which he gave a detailed explanation of the concepts of the National Adaptation Plan (NAP) that serves the governorate and greenhouse gas mitigation measures, as well as the trend towards clean and renewable energy, after which the Red Crescent team gave a simplified explanation of safety procedures during disasters and how to help the injured during their occurrence.
