A joint research staff from the University of Anbar with the Directorate of Environment of Anbar to choose the optimal sites for the establishment of nature reserves in Anbar province

Researchers from the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre and the Desert Studies Centre / University of Anbar met with specialists in the Anbar Environment Directorate, headed by Engineer (Kais Naji Hammoud), on Wednesday, 17/4/2024, and during the meeting they discussed the selection of the best optimal sites for the establishment of nature reserves in Anbar Governorate according to specific criteria, including the density of vegetation cover and biodiversity, the suitability of climatic conditions, and the topographic and geological formation, in order to preserve biodiversity and promote the protection and restoration of ecosystems to restore them to their natural status as well as Promote the reality of nature reserves and encourage the restoration of endangered species to their natural status.
