In implementation of the directives of the Council of the University of Anbar to be on 24-4-2024, a day to raise awareness of negative manifestations, a seminar was held at the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre - University of Anbar on combating the phenomenon of fraud and its impact on achieving sustainable development goals.

Prof. Dr. Ammar Hatem Kamel, Director of the Centre, indicated in his presentation of the workshop topic: "This phenomenon has become a scourge that negatively affects all sectors in society and everyone must contribute to combating it, as everyone is a shepherd and is responsible for his parish according to his specialization and work tasks, and that combating the phenomenon of fraud is the absolute belief that every person as he has rights has duties that he must fully abide by, it is cheating to claim rights without performing duties to the fullest because that The sixteenth goal of sustainable development is that there are no strong institutions without justice and there is no justice without equality in rights, duties and equal opportunities." Assistant instructor Abdul Majeed Mohammed Awad, a specialist in human geography, indicated that it is cheating to lack seriousness and accuracy in developing and classifying statistics and data related to population and human activities, which are the basis for developing strategies and programs for future and sustainable development. This fraud can lead to disasters represented by wasting time, effort and public money and hindering the achievement of sustainable development goals. While Head of researchers Yasser Marei Nayef, and biologist Ayad Ahmed Khalaf, explained the importance of combating fraud in the subject of the work of pathological analysis laboratories because of its direct impact on public health, and the third goal of the sustainable development goals, and that it is cheating not to pay attention to the accuracy and calibration of devices to obtain accurate data.

While Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Jassam spoke about the impact of the phenomenon and the non-adoption of data on climate and environmental impacts in determining the locations of factories and projects that may have damage to working health. Assistant Professor Dr. Muthanna Badie Farhan said that one of the most dangerous things related to this phenomenon is supporting fraud, which is not punishing those who commit this crime, and the impact of lifting any punishment for the perpetrator of this crime. Assistant instructor Ahmed Ashour, spoke about fraud in the implementation of engineering projects and its impact on sustainable development. As for the impact of this phenomenon on agricultural projects and its negative impact on sustainable development, Assistant Professor Dr. Nowfal Adnan Sabry talked about it.
