Attend a meeting to discuss the problem of displacement of families due to climate change

Representatives of the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre, namely the Head of the Natural Resources Development Department at the Center, Assistant Professor Dr. Muneer Naji Ahmed, and the specialist in climate affairs and climate change, Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Jassam Mukhlif, attended the meeting held at the Anbar Environment Directorate, on Tuesday, 7/5/2024, which was chaired by the Assistant Governor of Anbar for Technical Affairs and Human Rights (Khaled Ahmed Bedaiwi), and the presence of representatives of the concerned departments in the governorate, and during the meeting the problem of The displacement of families due to climate change, and the development of a mechanism to count the families displaced by this emergency problem, and to identify the real reasons behind this problem, and find solutions that would provide a decent living for these families.

The meeting concluded by setting a date for an upcoming meeting to distribute tasks and form committees to monitor displaced families to ensure their rights.
