A research team from the University of Anbar, in cooperation with researchers from a Malaysian university, publishes a research in a first quartile journal at the Clarivate database

A research team from the University of Anbar, in cooperation with researchers from the University of (INTI Malaysia) in addition to a researcher from the Iraqi Ministry of Electricity, published a scientific research in the annals journal (Water), a journal classified within the first quartile in the Clarivate Publishing database with an impact factor=3, and also classified within the first quartile in the Scopus database (site score = 5.8), the research is entitled: (LSTM Model Integrated Remote Sensing Data for Drought Prediction: A Study on Climate Change Impacts on Water Availability in the Arid Region).
The research dealt with the impact of climate change on Iraq by studying some indicators of drought, humidity and special hydrological factors in Anbar province in western Iraq, using artificial intelligence techniques and satellite data.
Dr. Haitham Abdul Mohsen, Dr. Atheer Salim, Dr. Bashir Khalil and Prof. Dr. Ammar Hatem from the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre at the University of Anbar in addition to Engineer Faidh Rahman Mohammed from the Iraqi Ministry of Electricity and researchers from the Malaysian University of (INTI) participated in the preparation of this research.
