      A member of center’s staff Ass. Prof. Dr. Nawfal Adnan Sabri submitted the weekly scientific seminar about (Cultivation of Degraded Lands) on Tuesday 1st October, 2019 in the center’s hall. The seminar deals with the following:

Introduction:

·        Production of crops under irrigation system.

·        Effects of irrigation water availability on the soya bean dry matter.

·         Irrigation methods and their relationship with climate, soil, and other factors.

·        Computation of irrigation intervals for crop.

·        Water, salinity, and leaching requirement.

·         Best trees for sites, parks and streets of Ramadi city, which is characterized by climate tolerance through the campaign of afforestation.

Recommendations:

The establishment of a department or division in our research center concerned with cultivation of degraded lands of the Upper Euphrates Basin.
