Panel discussion entitled (Grounding)

In continuation of the events and activities held by the Upper Euphrates Research Centre for Sustainable Development at the University of Anbar, Assistant Instructor Ayoub Yousef Ahmed, one of the Centre’s researchers, moderated a panel discussion on: (Grounding), on Monday, 30/12/2024, at the main hall of the Centre.
The workshop included an introduction to lightning and how to protect against it, introducing the term of grounding and its types, methods of implementation, components of the grounding system, highlighting the importance of protecting people, buildings and electrical appliances, as well as addressing the supplements of the grounding system represented in the types of cycle breakers like earth leakage cycle breaker (ELCB) and residual current cycle breaker(RCCB), which is the best solution to compensate for grounding if it cannot be implemented, and the best is to implement a regular grounding system according to international specifications.
