Cement furnace dust: description, diagnosis, and uses

The Upper Euphrates Center for Sustainable Development Research, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center at the Presidency of the University of Anbar, held a panel discussion tagged: (Cement Furnace Dust: Description, Diagnosis, and Uses), on Sunday, 16/2/2025, at the central hall of the Center.
The panel discussion consisted of two lectures presented by: (Assistant Instructor Saif Saad Mansour, and Assistant Instructor Ayat Khamis Fatikhan), where the lectures dealt with various topics, the most important of which were: the definition of global warming, the role of cement plants in its occurrence, its impact on the ozone layer, an explanation of the method of cement manufacturing, methods of diagnosing cement furnace dust, in addition to presenting the environmental and health effects of cement processing plants, addressing the uses of cement furnace dust, especially in research, and identifying the most important challenges and future solutions. Dust ovens cement plants, and finally the conclusion and the most important recommendations were presented.
At the end of the workshop, several questions and inquiries were raised by the attendees, to spread the benefit and the possibility of applying the recommendations made during this workshop for this vital problem, and in order to achieve the sustainable development goals in well-being and good health.
