Panel discussion on (The Importance of Medicinal Plants)

In continuation of the leading role of the Upper Euphrates Development Research Center in developing scientific research, and in order to invest the natural resources represented by medicinal plants that grow in Anbar Governorate, the Human Resources Development Department at the Upper Euphrates Center for Sustainable Development Research, in coordination with the Continuing Education Center at the Presidency of the University of Anbar, holds a panel discussion tagged: (The importance of medicinal plants), which was held on Monday, 3/3/2025, at the main hall of the center.
The lecture was delivered by (Assistant Professor Dr. Nowfal Adnan Sabri and Assistant Lecturer Ayat Khamis Fatikhan), and the lecture dealt with several axes, the most important of which are: the map of the distribution of medicinal plants in Anbar Governorate, and the economic importance, and the axis of growth of medicinal plants during the seasons of the year, and the appropriate soil for each type, as the importance of a number of types of medicinal plants spread in the region, their characteristics and classification, such as plants, were presented: (Sham thistle, silver rose, jarman, wild chrysanthemum, shepherd's bag and junaibra) and other medicinal plants that grow within the soil of the territory of Anbar province, and the researchers explained the need to exploit such medicinal plants in research and studies by our researchers for the purpose of identifying their types and the extent of their medical benefit to treat or prevent many pathological conditions as prevention, and it can be a good alternative to chemically manufactured pharmaceutical preparations that can cause serious side effects for humans.
