An awareness and guidance visit to secondary schools in the city of Ramadi

As part of the responsibility of the University of Anbar in serving the community and strengthening partnerships with educational institutions in the province, Assistant Instructor Abdul Kareem Ali Abdullah, a researcher at the Upper Euphrates Center for Sustainable Development Research, in coordination with the Central Guidance Committee at the University Presidency represented by Dr. Nidal Rashid, carried out a field visit to several secondary schools in the city of Ramadi, including Al-Izdihar Girls’ Secondary School and Dijlah Girls’ Secondary School.
During the visit, the research team delivered a series of awareness and guidance lectures to the students addressing the issue of electronic blackmail. They explained its manifestations and various methods, its dangers to students and society, and highlighted the most important prevention mechanisms as well as how to deal with blackmail attempts through the recognized legal, security, and legitimate channels.
This initiative comes within the framework of the Center’s programs aimed at enhancing digital awareness among female students, instilling a culture of safe use of modern technologies, contributing to their protection from the risks of cybercrimes, and supporting a safe and responsible educational environment.
