The Upper Euphrates Center participates in the National Biodiversity Project in Anbar

Within the framework of the Upper Euphrates Center for Sustainable Development Research, and in partnership with various governmental bodies and research organizations, and under the guidance of the University of Anbar, Assistant Professor Dr. Muneer Naji Ahmed, a researcher in the Center's Natural Resources Department, participated in a meeting held by the Anbar Environment Directorate. He contributed to activating the project to restore key areas and economic systems in Anbar Governorate.
This project is one of the strategic initiatives that can be politically implemented, according to the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and implemented by the UNDP, and is part of the Ministry of Environment's natural policy plan for sustainability. The meeting was attended by the Executive Director of Infrastructure, Dr. Jassim Abdul Aziz Hammadi Al-Fallahi, and the Director of Anbar Environment, Engineer Qais Najeh Abdul, along with representatives of the General Environmental Session, Dr. Anmar Al-Sadran, a member of the Health Committee in the Anbar Provincial Council and the local government, in addition to all research parties, the United Nations Institutional Program team, the Executive Director, and three of them from the Ministry.
