The Head of the Natural Resources Development Department at the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre, Assistant Professor Dr. Moneer Naji Ahmed, participated in the workshop held by the Community Committee of the Climate Change Program in Fallujah district under the auspices of OXFAM.

The aim of holding this workshop is to stand on the causes of climate change and its impact on agriculture and society, and to find appropriate solutions to adapt to climate change, and to know the role of the citizen in adapting to climate change and the role of civil society organizations, and a lecture entitled (climate change and its impact on Iraq), in this regard. 

The workshop came out with several recommendations, the most important of which were spreading scientific and cultural awareness within the community, planting trees, rationalizing water consumption, reducing gas emissions by resorting to the use of clean energy, and using modern irrigation methods in agriculture.
